In this part of the environmental and engineering research in RADOST, the future development of factors such as water levels, currents, waves and sediment transport will be investigated on various spatial and chronological scales.
An analysis of the anticipated hydrodynamic influence on the coasts (water levels, waves and currents) will serve as the basis for the development of options and strategies for the protection of the coasts and flood prevention. For this task, wave models as well as three-dimensional current and transport models will be used on the small scale necessary for coastal hydro-engineering inquiries. Scenarios of possible changes in sediment transport in the coastal region will be simulated and then analyzed and assessed according to changes of erosion and accumulation areas.
